Marcus Bateman has extensive work experience in the financial and banking industry, with a focus on payment technology and product management. Marcus is currently the Vice President - Product (Markets) at Form3, where they lead the product team in the UK market. Prior to this, they were the Head of Product - UK Market at Form3, responsible for providing payment technology services to financial institutions and regulated fintechs.

Before joining Form3, Marcus worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland as the Director and Product Head for UK Domestic Payments. In this role, they led the electronic payments, paper instructions, and sterling clearing for RBS CommercialBank customers and financial institutions. Marcus also served as the UK Cash Product Lead at RBS.

Marcus also had a significant tenure at Barclays, where they held various positions including Head of Electronic Payments - Product - Barclays Corporate and Vice President - Faster Payments and CHAPS. Marcus was responsible for product management, performance, and innovation in these roles. Marcus started their career at Barclays as a Senior Product Manager.

In addition to their professional experience, Marcus pursued part-time studies at the University of Oxford, where they completed an MSC and DPhil in English Local History at Kellogg College.

Marcus Bateman completed a Cert ICM in Cash Management from The Association of Corporate Treasurers in 2000. Marcus then pursued a Diploma in Ministry Studies (Theology) from Bangor University from 2006 to 2009. Marcus obtained a BA Honours in Theology and Religion from Oxford Brookes University from 2009 to 2012. Marcus subsequently pursued an Advanced Diploma in Local History from the University of Oxford from 2013 to 2014. Marcus later completed their MSc in English Local History from the University of Oxford from 2017 to 2019.
