Alexandra Sixt has a diverse work experience. In 2017, they worked as a Writer for the Lanthorn Newspaper, where they wrote weekly published news articles for the Grand Valley State University community while simultaneously meeting tight deadlines. Alexandra also arranged interviews with university faculty, staff, and students via phone and email. In 2018, Alexandra worked as a Communications Intern for Zeeland Christian School, where they designed social media content for Instagram and Twitter accounts and launched the #VerseoftheWeek social media campaign. Alexandra also worked as a Marketing and Hotel Relations Intern for ALE Solutions, where they were selected to assist in the preparations and execution of the annual charity event Golf. Give. Gala. Additionally, Alexandra worked as an Account Executive for The Lanthorn, where they developed and fostered strong business relationships with prospective and existing clients, collaborated with team members to identify new sales and advertising opportunities, and managed communication with clients and placement of advertisements to ensure an excellent experience. In 2019, Alexandra worked as a Public Relations Intern for the Forest Preserve District of Kane County, where they authored 200 pieces of original content for Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest accounts, as well as launched two successful social media accounts. Alexandra also worked as a Recreation and Wellness: Marketing & Promotions Intern at Grand Valley State University, where they developed various types of content for all social media platforms and assisted in planning and implementation of annual events to promote the department. In 2020, Alexandra worked as a Social Media and Brand Communications Coordinator for Bryce Thomas Media, where they created and scheduled content for social media platforms, managed brand communications across digital channels, and authored blogs and content for the monthly email newsletter. Alexandra also worked as a Growth Manager for FlexTal, where they assisted in managing all inbound marketing efforts including organic social media, paid media, email marketing, blog content, web design and development, and SEO. Additionally, they worked as Entrepreneur NEXT for Entrepreneur Media. Currently, Alexandra is a Content Marketing Manager at Formant.
Alexandra Sixt obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University between 2016 and 2020. Alexandra also holds certifications from Google, Hootsuite, and HubSpot, which they obtained in November 2018.
