Formas, a Swedish Research Council for Sustainable Development
Emelie Appelholm-Bergbohm is an experienced project leader and consultant focusing on sustainable development and cultural initiatives. Currently serving as Projektledare for the EU project Sustainable Plejs at Tillväxt Gotland, Emelie is dedicated to enhancing Gotland as a sustainable destination. Additionally, Emelie is a member of the preparation group for Formas' Communication Grant 2023, aiming to support projects that popularize research on sustainable development. Emelie has held various leadership positions, including VD and PR consultant at Bohm Bohm Room, a multidisciplinary communication and production office founded in 2008, and has contributed as a board member for several cultural organizations such as Kultudralen S:t Nicolai and Drottningholms Slottsteater. Emelie's previous roles also include business developer at Region Gotland and event manager at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress. Emelie Appelholm-Bergbohm's educational background includes training at Stiftelsen Höj Rösten's Politicians School.

Formas is a government research council for sustainable development. We fund research and innovation, develop strategies, perform analyses and conduct evaluations. Our areas of activity include the environment, agricultural sciences and spatial planning. We conduct specific environmental analyses that aim to make it easier for Sweden to achieve our environmental goals. We also communicate research and research results. Formas also hosts the Swedish Climate Policy Council.
