Divya Ramamoorthy

Divya Ramamoorthy is a Senior Scientist at Formation Bio since October 2025, focusing on building AI models to accelerate clinical drug development. Previously, Divya served as a Machine Learning Scientist II at Tessera Therapeutics from November 2022 to August 2025, where significant contributions included developing language models to optimize nucleotide manufacturing, leading the integration of generative AI tools, and designing machine learning models for Lipid Nanoparticles. Prior roles encompassed positions at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Research Specialist and PhD Candidate, where Divya developed innovative models for clinical data and mentored students. Additional experience includes internships at Novartis, IBM, and a variety of research roles at universities, showcasing a robust foundation in biological engineering and machine learning applications within the biomedical field. Divya holds a PhD in Biological Engineering from MIT and dual bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Plan II Honors from The University of Texas at Austin.
