Karen Bechtold

Karen Bechtold (Crowley) has extensive experience in intellectual property law, currently serving as IP Counsel at Formation Bio since May 2023. Prior roles include Senior IP Counsel at Summit Therapeutics and Senior Director, Associate General Counsel for US Generics IP at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Karen's career also includes positions at Actavis, Ascenda Law Group, and Mutual Pharmaceutical Company, where Karen held various leadership roles in intellectual property. Karen began their legal career as a Patent Attorney at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC and as an Associate at Pepper Hamilton LLP. Educational qualifications include an EMBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, a J.D. from Villanova University, and both an M.Eng. and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Cornell University.
