John Mendez

John Mendez is a software engineer who is currently working at Formation. John has previously worked as a full stack engineer at VMware and as a frontend individual contributor at Mozilla. John has also worked with InterMine/Univ of Cambridge as part of Outreachy. Some of their notable achievements include debuggin 2 critical release bugs in the Antlr based grammar parsing engine and delivering the first iteration for cloning Windows Group Policy Objects client-side using Angular 7. John has also successfully migrated the Intermine Data Browser codebase from coffeescript to React and extended its functionality to retrieve data from disparate genetic servers.

John Mendez has a Bachelor's degree in Drama, Film, and Television from St. John's University. John also has a certification from freeCodeCamp in Full Stack Web Development Certification.
