Hieu Nguyen

Hieu Nguyen has a diverse work experience. They started their career as a Support Teaching Assistant and Laboratory Research Assistant at the University of Houston from 2008 to 2012. They then joined SCOMI Oiltools Ltd. in 2012 and worked as an Engineering Assistant for a year before transitioning to the role of DWM (Drilling Waste Management) Engineer from 2013 to 2016. In this role, they installed, commissioned, and troubleshooted processing systems, collaborated with the Research & Engineering group to improve equipment efficiency, and provided technical support to design engineers. In 2018, Hieu joined Inteplast Group as a Staff Engineer, responsible for monitoring production processes, supervising machine operations, and conducting audits and quality assurance tests. Currently, they are working as a Process Engineer at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., starting in 2022.

Hieu Nguyen attended the University of Houston, Cullen College of Engineering from 2007 to 2012. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
