Laurette Nicoll is a seasoned sports reporter and announcer with extensive experience in motorsports and action sports. Currently serving as a Pit Reporter for Formula 1 in Las Vegas since November 2023, Laurette provides insightful commentary and facilitates discussions with expert analysts. With a career spanning from 2004 to 2022, Laurette has worked with various companies including Formula DRIFT, NBC's Nitro World Games, X Games, and Red Bull Crashed Ice, conducting in-depth interviews and reporting on competitions across multiple sports. Laurette has also made significant contributions as an award ceremony presenter for the Special Olympics World Games 2015 and as a contributor for FOX Sports. Laurette holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from California State University San Marcos and an Associate in Arts from Mount San Jacinto College.

Formula DRIFT or Formula D is the premier United States drifting series. Formula Drift, Inc. was co-founded by Jim Liaw and Ryan Sage in 2003 as a sister company to Slipstream Global Marketing, the same partnership that introduced D1 Grand Prix to the United States. The new entity would solely own, operate and launch the first official drifting series in North America. 2016 will be Formula Drift's sixteenth year of competition.
