Gustavo G. has worked in a variety of roles in the engineering field. In 2019, they began working as a Research and Development Field Engineer for Foro Energy. Theirmain responsibilities include testing and validating high power laser tools in both field trials and laboratory environments, as well as operating high power Ytterbium fiber laser systems up to 60KW. From 2014 to 2019, they worked for CETCO Energy Services in three different roles. As Research and Development Field Engineer, they planned and executed on/offshore field operations for research, applied research theories, principles, and models to perform experiments, and summarized research results. As SEALMAKER District Engineer, their main responsibilities included technical sales support for offshore operations, implementation of operational standards for business development and sustainability, and project management. As Coiled Tubing District Engineer, their responsibilities included computer modeling, care and maintenance of Coiled Tubing string fleet, and formulating job procedures and cost estimates for various Coiled Tubing applications. From 2009 to 2014, they worked for Schlumberger as Coiled Tubing General Field Engineer, Coiled Tubing Cell Leader, and Coiled Tubing Field Engineer. Theirresponsibilities included design of CT operations, technical sales support, job design expertise, and supervision and execution of onshore Coiled Tubing field operations. Finally, from 2008 to 2009, they worked for Ford Motor Company as a VEV Engineer. Theirresponsibilities included evaluation of the performance of the South American platforms, supporting the development of subsystem test procedures, resolution of performance, service and manufacturing issues, and selection, set up and deployment of data acquisition systems.

Gustavo G. attended Tecnológico de Monterrey from 2003 to 2008, where they earned an Ingeniero degree in Mecatronica. Gustavo also has several certifications from Schlumberger, including ACTive Enhance (obtained in February 2012), ACTive Specialist (obtained in January 2012), Coiled Tubing Technical School (obtained in August 2011), Matrix Stimulation Engineering (obtained in August 2011), and Coiled Tubing Operational School (obtained in April 2010).
