Nick Murphy's work experience begins in 2006 when they started as a Plant Launch Engineer at General Motors. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at Ford Motor Company as a Programme Management Analyst and later as a Body Integration Engineer, where they served as a Project Manager. In 2012, they joined McLaren Automotive Ltd, initially as a Lead Engineer in Series Development for Body Exterior and later as a Lead Project Engineer in Body Exterior. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at McLaren Applied, first as a Project Manager in Motorsport Technologies, responsible for delivering power control and data management systems for the Honda-McLaren race team, and later as a Technical Project Manager in Public Transport Technologies. In 2019, they joined Arrival as the Head of Programme Management and was later promoted to Head of Vehicle Planning & Forecasting, where they strategically planned the execution and expansion of the Microfactory model. Finally, in 2022, they transitioned to FORSEVEN as the Vice President of Operations.

Nick Murphy attended the University of Surrey from 2004 to 2008, where they pursued a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. During their time there, they focused on subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Automotive Design. Prior to their university education, Nick attended John Fisher School in Purley, although specific details about their degree or field of study during that time are unavailable.
