Runar Wattum Hansen

Runar Wattum Hansen is a Senior Scientist at FFI, where research and development of infrared photodetectors and related technology are the primary focus since October 2006. This role involves building laboratory facilities, implementing fabrication methods for critical components, and assembling complete systems. Prior to this, Runar served as a Project Manager at AME / OSI optoelectronics from April 2004 to October 2006, overseeing the development and manufacturing of high-reliability photodetectors while also managing accounts for demanding customers. Runar began the career as an IT consultant at Telenor from 1997 to 2000, providing support for Windows PCs and training new staff. Educationally, Runar holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Oslo, with attendance from 1993 to 2004.
