Kate Shirk

Kate Shirk has a strong background in human resources with experience in various leadership roles. Kate is currently serving as the HR Director at Fort Pitt Capital Group since July 2019. Prior to this, they worked at AE Works Ltd. as the Director of Organizational Development from May 2017 to April 2019. During their time at AE Works Ltd., they played a crucial role in implementing strategic HR programs and designing an effective employee onboarding process. Before that, Kate worked at UPMC as a Manager of Human Resources for over 12 years. In this role, they built strong relationships with managers and executives while providing quality HR services, including handling employee relations matters and overseeing performance improvement plans. In the near future, Kate will be joining Charles Schwab through their Executive Leadership Program (ELP), starting in December 2022.

Kate Shirk attended Washington and Lee University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism Mass Communications and German Language. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including ICAgile Certified Professional - Agility in HR (ICP-AHR) from ICAgile in November 2019, SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in December 2015, and Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HR Certification Institute - HRCI in January 2010.
