Iulia Petria

Iulia Petria has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 2017, they worked as an Internship Android Developer at SMARTSOFT, where they actively participated in induction, QA testing, and Android meetings. Iulia successfully delivered a Smart TV Application as part of an agile team. Additionally, they gained experience in using Android Studio, Jira, QA Testing, and Git.

During the same period, Iulia also worked as a Catering Assistant - Night Food at the University of Essex Students' Union. In this role, they prepared and served food, worked in a fast-paced environment, and provided excellent customer service.

From 2017 to 2019, Iulia held multiple roles at the University of Essex. As a Resident Assistant, they created a sense of community among residents by organizing social events and supporting academic success through 14 successful events. Iulia also served as a student leader and maintained positive relationships with residents.

Furthermore, Iulia worked as an Applicant Day Ambassador where they assisted with visit and interview days for prospective undergraduates. Iulia shared information about student life, the Computer Science department, and their own experiences. Iulia also supported large-scale events and conducted campus and accommodation tours.

As a Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Mentor, Iulia helped first-year computer science students with their coursework and assignments. Iulia attended their labs and drop-in sessions, checked their code, fixed bugs, and suggested solutions.

Most recently, Iulia worked at Gentrack Ltd (Global) as a Software Engineer from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they contributed to software development projects and successfully fulfilled their responsibilities as part of the team.

Currently, Iulia is a Software Engineer at Fortech, starting in 2022.

Iulia Petria attended the University of Essex from 2016 to 2019, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Cisco, including CCNA R&S Introduction to Networks, CCNA R&S Routing and Switching Essentials, CCNA Routing and Switching: Connecting Networks, and CCNA Routing and Switching: Scaling Networks.
