Kathleen Sutherland

Kathleen Sutherland is an experienced insurance professional with a background in underwriting and account management. Currently serving as an Underwriter II at Fortegra since August 2018, Kathleen determines eligibility for lender placed insurance, applies underwriting guidelines for mortgage lender portfolios, and collaborates closely with agents for documentation. Prior to Fortegra, Kathleen spent nearly two decades at American Modern Insurance Group in various roles, including Personal Lines Senior Underwriter, where responsibilities included underwriting business and reviewing property valuations, and Account Representative, managing premium processing and a team of nine. Additional relevant experience includes supervisory roles and claims processing at Anthem. Kathleen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University.
