Kit Lai

Kit Lai is a highly skilled geoscientist with extensive experience in project generation and economic geology. Currently serving as a Senior Project Geochemist at Fortescue Metals Group since 2022, Kit Lai previously held the position of Senior Assistant Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, focusing on the geology and Au-Cu deposits of Borneo. Prior roles include Senior Geoscientist II at Chinalco-Rio Tinto Exploration, specializing in porphyry Cu exploration in China, and various research and academic roles at the University of Tasmania and The University of Hong Kong. Kit Lai holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Tasmania, as well as both a Master of Philosophy and a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Hong Kong.
