Michael Cojerian

Michael Cojerian serves as the Country Manager for Fortescue Future Industries in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan since March 2022, overseeing all activities for the NE Asian region. Previously, Michael held the position of Representative Director and General Manager of the Japan Energy Group at Canadian Solar Inc. from January 2021 to March 2022. Michael's experience includes managing sales for BHP as Representative Director and Country President from January 2016 to June 2020, during which revenue grew from $3 billion to $5 billion in three years. Earlier roles include Vice President of Marketing for Asia at Walter Energy and Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Arch Coal, Inc., where Michael contributed to establishing the company's subsidiary in Singapore. Michael began a 15-year tenure at ITOCHU International Inc. as a Marketing Manager, focusing on the coal and steel industries. Academic qualifications include a BA in Anthropology from Haverford College and an MBA in Finance and Investments from Baruch College.
