Process Engineer at Fortify

Chris Byrne is currently a Process Engineer at Fortify. Prior to that, they worked as a Product Development Engineer at Aptar from January 2017 to September 2019. In their role at Aptar, Chris assisted in product development through project work involving the prototype and production tooling, automation systems, qualification/testing and technical service activities. Chris also coordinated and oversaw off-site product line trials with key large accounts and communicated quality performance metrics both internally and externally to root-cause any product quality issues and schedule additional support. Furthermore, Chris designed and created a prototype reporting tool using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) in Excel to Extract, Transform, and Load SAP data on line performance and convert that data into digestible key metrics for management review. Additionally, they collaborated with internal quality teams to identify and rapidly implement corrections for various part quality issues through lab measurement tools, CMM data, and casting techniques. Chris also measured and analyzed SAT & FAT data for new tooling, organizing the data for team review. Prior to their time at Aptar, Chris was a Team Lead at Galileo Learning from June 2015 to August 2015.

Chris Byrne has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University, a high school diploma in General Studies from Bellarmine College Preparatory, and a certification from Coursera in Data Analyst Professional Certificate. Chris also has a certification from Coursera in Data Science Professional Certificate and a certification from Dassault Systèmes in Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) - Mechanical Design. Lastly, they have a certification from NCEES in FE Mechanical.
