Larissa Root

Larissa Root currently serves as the Learning Resource Center Manager at FORTIS Colleges and Institutes, a position held since June 2021. Previously, Larissa was self-employed as a caregiver from January 2015 to June 2021 and worked as an Order Processing Associate at Warby Parker, where proficiency in the internal management system facilitated efficient customer order processing and enhanced customer service. Other roles include being an Education Coordinator at Lincoln Tech, a Technical Writer at Franklin American Mortgage Company, and holding various positions at Daymar College, including Site Director and Learning Resource Center Coordinator. Larissa's extensive experience in library services began at the Nashville Public Library as a Librarian I, following a strong educational background with a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from the University of Montevallo.
