Christopher Barnes has a diverse range of work experience in the technology and gaming industry. Christopher is currently working as the Technical Director at Fortis Games, starting in March 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Doppio in 2018 and served as the CTO until March 2022.

Before founding Doppio, Barnes worked at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. as a Senior Game Server Engineer from May 2015 to May 2018. In this role, they led a small engineering team and was responsible for building server back-ends for iOS and Android games. Christopher designed and developed scalable REST-based game API servers and stateful web services, utilizing Java, MongoDB, Redis, and Amazon Web Services.

From 2009 to 2015, Barnes worked at Electronic Arts, where they held multiple roles. As a Software Engineer, they focused on full stack mobile games engineering for iOS and Android, developing web services, and integrating client-side games using Unity, C#, Objective-C, and Java. Christopher also contributed to EA's core eCommerce and identity platform, designing and developing REST-based web services and high availability software.

Earlier in their career, Barnes gained experience as an intern at The Cornell Daily Sun, New York Times Digital, and SoftWave Media Exchange, where they gained skills in web development, PHP, MySQL, Ruby on Rails, and online feature development.

Overall, Christopher Barnes has a strong technical background and a range of experiences in leadership, game development, server engineering, web services, and software engineering.

Christopher Barnes attended Manhasset High School from 2001 to 2005. Christopher then went on to study at Cornell University from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Information Science.
