Alexander Pretschner

Alexander Pretschner, currently a Professor at Technische Universität München since 2012, also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for both Fortiss and the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation. Pretschner was the scientific director at Fortiss from 2016 to 2019. Prior academic roles include professorships at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012 and Technische Universität Kaiserslautern from 2008 to 2010, as well as Group Manager at Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering during the same period. Pretschner holds a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zürich (2008), an MS in Computer Science from The University of Kansas (1999), and a Diplom in Computer Science from RWTH Aachen University (1998).
