Be a part of our 9-week Internship Development Program, where you will have the opportunity to apply knowledge gained through your college courses. Becoming a Sourcing and Procurement intern is a great way to enhance your business acumen and gain insight into our industry. Interns are placed into meaningful roles that have an immediate and integral impact on the business.  The internship will be based in our Nashville, TN office and will run from June 2, 2025, through August 1, 2025. You must be available for all 9 weeks of the program.

The Sourcing and Procurement Summer Intern will report directly into the AVP, Sourcing and Procurement and will be responsible for partnering with the Procurement and Contracting team, the Accounts Payable team and the Third-Party Risk team to provide support and assistance with their day-to-day functions.  This position will be responsible for managing various duties across the lifecycle of third-party vendors.  This includes but is not limited to vendor reviews, risk reviews, contract reviews and vendor payment.  This role will require attention to detail, organizational skills, and good communication skills to help drive results ensure compliance with our policies and procedures.

What You Will Do:

Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM):

  • Reviewing and mitigating daily vendor risk alerts - Daily
  • Following up on past due diligence items - Daily
  • Assist in risk reporting (analyzing and building) - Monthly

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Clearing "Pending Action" items in Coupa - Weekly
  • Follow up on Pending Receipts/Approvals in Coupa - Weekly
  • Run reports and create dashboards for expenses and spend - Monthly

Sourcing/Procurement:

  • Assist in contract inventory management – Weekly
  • Provide support in contract review – Daily
  • Assist in supplier management – Daily
  • Create reporting on RFP activity - Monthly

What You Will Have:

  • The ideal candidate is a rising senior majoring in Finance, Risk Management, Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility, adaptable to change and fast-paced environments. 
  • Positive attitude. 
  • Be detail oriented and highly organized. 
  • Possess strong research and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
