Alexandra Helou has a strong background in international tax, with a focus on roles in consulting firms and government organizations. Alexandra currently serves as the Vice President of International Tax at Fortitude Re starting in July 2023. Prior to this, they worked at KPMG LLP as a Director of International Tax from September 2016 to June 2023. Alexandra also held a similar position at PwC from October 2004 to July 2016. Additionally, Alexandra has experience working overseas as a Senior Manager of US Tax Desk at PwC UK from September 2008 to September 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Attorney-Advisor at the Internal Revenue Service from July 1999 to October 2004 and as Counsel at the Export-Import Bank of the United States from September 1998 to July 1999.
Alexandra Helou holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from American University Washington College of Law. Before that, they obtained a Master's Degree from the American University School of International Service. Alexandra'sundergraduate education was completed at the University of Virginia, where they pursued a joint degree in Foreign Affairs and French Language. Additionally, they participated in a study abroad program at the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, focusing on French language, culture, history, and government. Alexandra Helou is also a member of the New York State Bar.
