Brad Whipple

Brad Whipple is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product security and engineering. Currently serving as Manager of the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) team at Fortress Information Security since October 2021, Brad oversees a team responsible for delivering SBOMs and conducting SBOM analysis for clients. Previously, Brad held the position of Product Security Engineer at Idaho National Laboratory from May 2017 to October 2021, and prior to that served as Lead Firmware Engineer for Heavy Duty and Medium Duty divisions at Bully Dog Technologies from June 2014 to April 2017. Brad’s career also includes military service as a Combat Engineer in the US Army, internships at Idaho National Laboratory and Micron Technology, and foundational roles at OfficeMax and as an Electrician Apprentice. Brad earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Idaho and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a Minor in Applied Mathematics from Boise State University.
