Director, Federal Programs And Cyber Engineering at Fortress Information Security

David J. has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David began their career at Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) as a Mechanical Engineer, where they worked on various ship classes and performed tasks related to propulsion, power generation, and mission integration. David later became a Technical Project Manager at NSWCCD, overseeing a large-scale reconfiguration and modernization project for a submarine program.

In 2015, David joined Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as the Mission Systems Engineering Manager (SEM) for Aircraft Carrier Mission Systems. In this role, they were responsible for the design, construction, cybersecurity, and integration of all aircraft carrier hull and control systems.

In 2019, David transitioned to Deloitte Consulting as a Manager specializing in complex technical program management and systems engineering. David worked with the Department of the Navy and led client-facing and internal teams. David also provided expertise in Digital Engineering for the Defense, Security, and Justice sector within the Government and Public Service industry.

Currently, David is at Fortress Information Security, where they hold the positions of Director, DoD Solutions Architecture and Director, Federal Programs and Cyber Engineering. In these roles, they are responsible for leading federal programs and providing cyber engineering solutions.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and expertise in cybersecurity, systems engineering, and technical program management.

David J. earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science from 2003 to 2007. David then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2010 to 2012. In 2020, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
