George Turnipseed

George Turnipseed has a diverse and extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. George is currently the Director of Wireless Research & Development at Fortress Solutions, where they manage services for private wireless network deployments and repair of wireless infrastructure equipment. George leads a team of engineers and technicians and develops solutions for RF network planning and RAN system design.

Prior to their current role, George worked at Sprint as a Radio Frequency Engineer, where they provided support for the deployment of 3G, 4G, and 5G RAN elements. George also worked at ePower Africa, LLC as the founder from 2014 to 2018.

In their previous roles at Alcatel-Lucent and ZTE Corporation, George contributed to technical solutions in 3G/4G lab management and the development of multi-modal base stations. At Cool Breeze Communications Inc, they performed chair responsibilities for industry standards and served as an editor.

At Sprint Nextel, George held multiple positions including Senior Strategist in Global Standards and Senior Network Engineer in Network Planning. George played a key role in negotiating savings in infrastructure equipment and managed partnerships with wireless network service providers worldwide.

Before their time at Sprint, they worked as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Alcatel USA, where they were responsible for system engineering and hardware design of GSM cellular Mobile Switching Center.
