Aki Koskinen has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of brand management and marketing. Aki started their career at University of Vaasa as a Market Researcher, conducting surveys and market analysis in the electricity market. Aki then joined Imatran Voima Oy as a Research Manager, where they conducted customer and market surveys and prepared for the company's entry into electricity retail sales. Aki then moved to Fortum Markets Oy, where they held various roles as a Marketing Manager, responsible for marketing and sales activities in electricity retail sales, including successful re-branding projects and growing the customer base.
At Fortum, Aki held several roles, including Head of Marketing and Sales, Consumer Market Finland, where they focused on marketing and sales activities, customer recruitment, and loyalty programs. Aki later became the Head of External Communications in Finland, handling reputation management and crisis communication projects. Aki also served as the Head of Customer Communications and Brand, where they were responsible for global brand management, social media development, and customer-centricity initiatives. Aki eventually became the Vice President and, later, the Director of Brand and Reputation, leading Fortum's brand and reputation strategies globally.
In addition to their work at Fortum, Aki also served as a Member of the Board at the Finnish Sponsorship and Event Marketing Association. Overall, Aki Koskinen has extensive experience in brand management, marketing, customer communications, and reputation management in the energy sector, demonstrating strong leadership skills and a focus on customer-centric strategies.
Aki Koskinen received their Matriculation examination from Kaarila high school in Tampere in 1990. Aki then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Marketing from the University of Vaasa from 1992 to 1997.
