Kari Vilppala

Kari Vilppala is a seasoned project manager specializing in industrial electrification, currently serving as Senior Project Manager at Fortum since February 2022. With a wealth of experience spanning over two decades, Kari held various project management and engineering roles at renowned companies including ÅF AB, where ten years were spent managing projects, and Finnmap Consulting Oy, where Kari also worked as a Project Manager. In addition to earlier positions as Director at Finnmap Consulting Engineers (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Senior Engineer at Aaro Kohonen, Kari has developed a strong foundation in structural and design engineering, having begun a career in engineering with roles at Pöyry and Eastern Asphalt and Mixed Concrete Company W.L.L. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from LUT University and a degree from Vaasan Teknillinen Oppilaitos.
