Laura Heimonen

Laura Heimonen has extensive experience in water treatment and management, currently serving as Manager of Water Treatment at Fortum since August 2013, where responsibilities include operations management and oversight of water chemistry for both clean and industrial waste water processes. Prior to this role, Laura worked as a Project Manager, focusing on the development and renewal of water treatment systems and managing waste water treatment and sludge handling projects across Finland and Sweden. Laura's career began as a Water Treatment Specialist at Teollisuuden Vesi Oy from March 2009 to July 2013, and earlier, as a Diploma worker and trainee at Borealis, where tasks included database creation and validating new production equipment. Educational background includes a degree in chemistry from Joensuun yliopisto, completed in 2008, and secondary education from Sotkamon lukio.
