Laurent Leveugle has extensive work experience in the nuclear industry. Laurent started their career at Rolls-Royce in 2011, where they worked as an I&C Systems Engineer, focusing on projects related to the renewal of nuclear power plants in Finland and France. Laurent also participated in the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission certification process for Rolls-Royce's nuclear I&C safety platform. Later, they took on roles as a Technical Project Manager and Operations Manager at Rolls-Royce, overseeing the installation and commissioning of equipment at the Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant in Finland. In 2019, Laurent joined Fortum, where they worked as an Expert in Automation Design and later became a Project Manager. Laurent successfully managed a multi-million euros project for the renewal of the Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System at the Loviisa NPP. Laurent's most recent role at Fortum is serving as the Head of Newbuild Feasibility Study, responsible for leading the pre-study and feasibility assessment of new nuclear projects. In addition to their work in the nuclear industry, Laurent also had a brief role as an Associate at Time for the Planet in 2022.
Laurent Leveugle holds a Master's degree (Diplôme d'ingénieur) in Electrical Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, which they completed in 2011. In 2021, they obtained the Fortum Sales Certification Program from Fortum.
