Mika Paavilainen

Mika Paavilainen has extensive experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions, currently serving as the Head of Corporate M&A at Fortum since September 2010, where additional roles have included Vice President of Corporate M&A Transactions, Acting Group General Counsel, and Head of M&A Legal. Prior to this, Mika was an Attorney-at-Law at Roschier, Attorneys Ltd. from May 2000 to August 2010, and briefly worked as a Visiting Lawyer at Bär & Karrer in late 2006. Earlier experience includes the position of Junior Legal Counsel in Credit Risk Management at Leonia Bank Plc from May 1996 to August 1999. Educational background includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Helsinki, an MBA focused on Corporate Finance from Business School Lausanne, and an executive program at IMD.
