Päivi Urkola

Päivi Urkola has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Päivi started their career as an Ombudsman at The Finnish Business School Graduates in 1991 before moving on to work as a Legal Advisor at the Helsinki Chamber of Commerce. Päivi then joined the District Court of Helsinki as a Trainee on the Bench, where they gained valuable experience in decision-making and handling stress. In 1996, Päivi began their long tenure at Kesko, initially as an HR Manager in Anttila Oy and later as an HR Manager, Labor Relations. During their time at Kesko, they specialized in labor legislation and was involved in various HR areas. In 2007, Päivi joined Fortum Oyj as the Vice President of People and Labor Relations, where they had global responsibilities in industrial relations, cooperation structures, and compliance.

Päivi Urkola obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in International Private Law from the University of Helsinki, from 1984 to 1990.
