Pekka Eira

Pekka Eira has a strong background in information technology (IT) and has held several leadership positions throughout their career. Pekka started their career at Sten & Slotte Oy as a Consultant, architect, and project manager, where they were responsible for sales channel development, implementation projects, and support services. Pekka then moved to ABB as an IT Infrastructure Manager before transitioning to the role of IT Manager at Sonepar Suomi Oy. At ABB Oy, they served as the eMobile Manager, Industrial IT Manager, and later as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Pekka then joined Fortum, where they held various roles such as Vice President of IT and Processes, Head of Fortum Business Services IT/CIO, and Vice President of Technology Platforms. In these positions, they oversaw IT strategies, cyber security services, system integration, and application management services. Pekka was also a member of the Board of Directors for Fortum Service Poland Sp. z o. Pekka has extensive experience in IT management, enterprise architecture, data platforms, and IT sourcing.

Pekka Eira completed a National Defense Course (Maanpuolustuskurssi 218) at the Finnish National Defence University in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from JAMK University of Applied Sciences in 1988.
