Maitreya Jani

Maitreya Jani serves as Associate General Counsel for Digital, Privacy, and Connected Products at Fortune Brands Home & Security since January 2006, advising senior management on diverse legal matters and overseeing technology and commercial litigation in both U.S. and international courts. In addition, Maitreya is the Chair of the IoT Subcommittee for Licensing Executives Society International, focusing on data security and patent licensing issues. Maitreya's experience includes a role as a member of the Business Law and Innovation Board at Lewis and Clark Law School, legal advisory at Nishith Desai Associates, and practicing as an associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP and Welsh & Katz, Ltd., with a strong background in patent law and litigation. Maitreya holds a Juris Doctor degree with honors from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering and Finance with honors from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
