Emily Cowan

Emily Cowan has seven years of work experience. Emily began their career in 2005 as a Lifeguard for the City of North Canton. In 2012, they became a Student Assistant for The University of Akron. In 2013, Emily began working for the Charleston County School District, where they served as a 6th Grade Science Teacher and a 6th Grade ELA & Science Teacher. In 2016, they became an Intervention Specialist at Circleville Elementary School, providing support in Language Arts and Math to 4th and 5th grade students and writing and monitoring IEP's. In 2017, Emily worked as an 8th Grade Science Teacher for Columbus City Schools. In 2018, they became a 6th Grade Language Arts Teacher for Teays Valley Local Schools. Finally, in 2019, Emily began working as a Technology Integration Specialist for Forward Edge.

Emily Cowan attended Hoover High School from 2004 to 2008, where they completed a College Prep curriculum. Emily then attended The University of Akron from 2008 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education: Science and Language Arts.
