John Shivers

John Shivers is an experienced media professional with a robust background in radio broadcasting, sports journalism, and technology support. Currently serving as a Radio Show Host and Producer at 98.7 WVMO since September 2015, Shivers is known for hosting "Back In The Day with Johnny Rasta," which focuses on the history of funky music. Additionally, Shivers works as a Beer Influencer for Forward Madison FC since April 2019 and has a history of beer sales and stand-up comedy with the Madison Mallards Baseball Club from 2006 to 2018. With early experience as a radio producer and DJ at WSUM 91.7 FM, as well as a sports columnist with Shepherd Express and Isthmus, Shivers has developed a strong presence in both radio and sports media over a career that spans several decades. Shivers holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
