Whit Blanton, FAICP, is a seasoned city and regional planner with a focus on multimodal transportation planning, land use planning, and urban design. With over 27 years in consulting, they currently serve as the Executive Director of the unified Pinellas Planning Council and Pinellas Metropolitan Planning Organization, leading the integration of countywide land use and transportation planning. Whit has contributed significantly to various transportation and urban planning initiatives while holding leadership positions in notable professional organizations, including the American Planning Association. They were inducted as a fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners in 2012, emphasizing their expertise in the field. Whit completed a BS in Journalism & Communications from the University of Florida and a degree in Urban & Regional Planning from Florida State University.
