Mihaela Roxana Suru, MD, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning from 2004 to 2022. Mihaela Roxana began their career in 2004 as a Student Lead Researcher at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy. In 2007, they took on the role of Family Practice Resident at Mehedinti County Hospital. From 2008 to 2010, they held the roles of Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Study Lead at Louis A Weiss Memorial Hosp. In 2009, they became an Internal Medicine Resident at University of Chicago, Weiss Memorial Hospital. In 2012, they moved to Hospital as a Hospitalist- Intensivist-Obesity Medicine, where they were responsible for all medical inpatients from the medical ward, intensive care unit, and rehabilitation ward. In 2015, they transitioned to UMass Memorial Medical Center as an Internal Medicine Physician- Hospitalist. Finally, in 2016, they became an Internal Medicine Physician- Acute Care Medicine at South Shore Hospital. In 2022, they will become a Primary Care Physician, Obesity Specialist Consultant at Forward.

Mihaela Roxana Suru, MD, MBA earned a Medical Doctor degree from Carol Davila Bucharest, Romania in 2006 after studying Medicine from 2000 to 2006. Mihaela Roxana then went on to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Drexel University's LeBow College of Business between 2013 and 2015, with a focus on Health/Health Care and Pharmaceutical Administration/Management. In addition, they obtained certifications from the Instituto Cervantes (DELE B2 LEVEL) in 2015, the American Board of Internal Medicine (American Diplomate of Internal Medicine) in 2012, and the American Board of Obesity Medicine (American Diplomate in Obesity Medicine) in 2015.
