Anja Stampfli

Senior Scientist in Biochemistry and Crystallography at FoRx Therapeutics

Anja Stampfli has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of biochemistry and crystallography. Anja is currently working at FoRx Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist, where they focus on drug discovery programs and the design and analysis of biochemical and biophysical assays. Prior to this, Anja worked as a Scientist at FoRx Therapeutics, where they led drug discovery projects and conducted research in small molecule oncology.

Before joining FoRx Therapeutics, Anja was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where they utilized bioinformatic tools and enzymology to discover new ribosomal natural products. Anja also had experience in cell-free biosynthesis during their time there.

Anja also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of Basel, where they developed LC-HRMS methodology for metabolite analysis and identified a novel biosynthetic pathway. Additionally, they supervised a PhD student and taught protein crystallography.

Prior to their postdoctoral positions, Anja worked as a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Basel, where they conducted research on the catalytic mechanism of a novel O2 dependent Fe enzyme using X-ray crystallography, enzymology, and bioinformatics. Anja also had a research collaboration visit at Penn State University to learn and utilize various experimental methods.

Anja's work experience also includes a role as a Laboratory Supervisor/Demonstrator at the University of Canterbury and an Honours Research Thesis in the Parker Lab at the same university.

Overall, Anja Stampfli has a strong background in biochemistry and crystallography, with expertise in various research techniques and a focus on drug discovery and enzymology.

Anja Stampfli has an extensive education history in the field of Chemistry. Anja earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Chemistry from the University of Basel, where they studied from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science, with honours (BSc.Hons) degree in Chemistry from the University of Canterbury in 2014. Anja also completed a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry & Biochemistry from the same institution, studying from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Anja Stampfli has obtained a certification in Drug Discovery from Coursera in June 2021.
