Lead, Legal Affairs at Fòs Feminista

Christine Ricardo has an extensive work experience in various legal and advocacy roles. Christine currently serves as the Lead for Legal Affairs at Fòs Feminista since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Northeast New Jersey Legal Services, where they held the positions of Assistant Managing Attorney for Housing from September 2020 to February 2022 and Staff Attorney for Housing from September 2018 to August 2020. Additionally, Christine has worked as a Lecturer of Preventive Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California in June-August 2019. Christine also served as a Law Clerk to Justice Barry T. Albin at the Supreme Court of New Jersey from August 2017 to August 2018. Furthermore, Christine has worked as a Clinical Fellow/Lecturer in Law at the Yale Global Health Justice Partnership from September 2015 to July 2017. Prior to that, they were a Post-Graduate Fellow at the National Center for Law and Economic Justice from September 2014 to August 2015. Christine also served as a Child Advocate at The Young Center for Immigrant Children's Rights from September 2013 to June 2014. Christine has also gained experience as a Legal Intern at the National Women's Law Center from June to August 2013, as well as at the Office of Governor Pat Quinn in January-May 2013. Lastly, Christine worked as a Legal Intern at Lambda Legal from June to August 2012.

Christine Ricardo attended Roselle Catholic from 1991 to 1995. Christine then went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology and English at Wellesley College from 1995 to 1999. Christine further pursued their studies at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Population and International Health from 2001 to 2003. Finally, they attended the University of Chicago Law School from 2011 to 2014 and earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
