MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with facilities maintenance and the implementation of new building or property maintenance services.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to
Assess equipment and maintenance needs for facility and sets schedule accordingly to ensure that maintenance projects are completed in a timely manner
Perform or supervise all maintenance activities or projects
Execute routine and preventative maintenance required to keep equipment in good operating condition
Perform routine audit to identify any safety concerns; corrects and/or reports problems promptly
Work with outside agencies such as fire, health, building depts.., etc. to endure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds
Supervise custodial services contract at assigned facility(s) and or custodial staff
Purchase maintenance and housekeeping supplies for the assigned facility
Manage contractual services for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, lawn care, snow and ice removal, etc
Manage work order system in accurate and timely manner
Responsible for responding quickly to emergency situations and concerns; may include evening and weekends
Assist in development and oversight of annual property budget for maintenance repair, replacement and related supplies for the assigned facility
Assist in the development of a long-range major repair and replacement plan, with accompanying budget costs for the assigned facility(s)
Assist with maintenance projects throughout the organization, as assigned
Ensure First Aid supplies are maintained at all facility sites
Provide support to other facilities in the absence of the Director of Facilities
Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years’ successful work experience in facility maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, housekeeping, pool maintenance, painting, etc.)
Able to manage and monitor department budget
Able to relate and work with diverse groups of people in a friendly and consistent manner
Strong interpersonal skills
Able to reflect a positive attitude
Basic computer skills
Must conduct themselves and carry out duties in a respectable, professional and responsible manner
Must maintain a current motor vehicle license and acceptable driving record that meets FAC standards
