Douglas Ernst has a diverse and extensive work experience in civil engineering and project management. Douglas began their career as an Associate Project Engineer at Ament Design in 1994 before moving on to HR Green, Inc. as a Project Manager in 1998. In 2003, they became the Owner and Vice-President of Engineering Alliance, Inc., where they specialized in civil transportation engineering. Douglas joined The Foth Companies in 2007 as a Senior Project Manager and was later promoted to various leadership roles, including Project Director for Infrastructure Solutions and Project Manager for the BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair project. Douglas'sresponsibilities included overseeing the planning, design, and construction of civil infrastructure projects, such as shipyards, highways, municipal streets, stormwater systems, and water distribution. Additionally, Douglas served as the Work Product Delivery Leader for Infrastructure Solutions and as the Program Manager and Project Engineer for the TID 5 Interceptor Sanitary Sewer System project. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong project management skills, technical expertise, and effective communication abilities.

Douglas Ernst earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Douglas is also a certified Professional Engineer in Florida, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
