Wilco Schuttelaar has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Wilco is currently the Co-founder / Strategic Alliances of Founda, a healthcare platform that facilitates data exchange between healthcare IT systems and external applications. Prior to this, they served as the Co-founder / CEO of Founda, where they introduced platform thinking in healthcare and provided scalable infrastructure and standardized integrations with healthcare IT systems.
Before their involvement with Founda, Wilco worked as a Mentor at Rockstart Digital Health, an intensive startup accelerator program that focuses on building, validating, and scaling digital health startups. Wilco also gained experience as an Officer for Innovation, Technology & Science at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Sweden, where they fostered collaboration and innovation between the Netherlands and Sweden.
Wilco's previous roles include being a Guest Lecturer in Management of Innovation at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they spoke about innovation trends and disruptive innovations in healthcare. Wilco also founded Stichting ZorgInnovatie Nederland, a community for healthcare innovators, and worked as a Health Innovator at Vital Innovators, an organization dedicated to innovation in healthcare.
Additionally, Wilco has served as a Consultant at VitaValley, where they helped develop innovative products and systems for healthcare, and as an Advisor in New Business & Innovation at KplusV organisatieadvies, where they provided business development and advisory services to start-ups and investors in various sectors.
Earlier in their career, Wilco worked as an Advisor at Schuttelaar & Partners, a consultancy firm. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in healthcare innovation, strategic alliances, entrepreneurship, and business advisory.
Wilco Schuttelaar completed their MSc degree in Science & Innovation management at Utrecht University from 1998 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Wilco obtained certifications in "Design Thinking for Innovation" from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in May 2019 and in "Machine Learning" from Stanford University in January 2019.
