Melissa W. currently serves as the Director of Emerging Teachers & Internal Programs and Principal in Residence at Foundation Academies, having started in August 2023. Previously, Melissa worked as a Community Organizer at Lift Every Voice Philly, facilitating engagement with parents and community members to address school policy concerns. As Program Lead at Multiverse, Melissa improved curriculum design for tech professionals, achieving significant success in facilitator performance. At KIPP New Jersey, experience included roles as Instructional Leader, Grade Level Chair, and English Teacher, focusing on professional development, teacher coaching, and data-driven instruction. Prior positions include Founding Pedagogical Coach at Ensina Brasil and Fulbright Fellow for the U.S. Department of State. Melissa holds a Master of Education in Urban Education and Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.
