Prachi Patankar is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in program management, grantmaking, and strategic leadership focused on social justice, gender equality, and racial equity. Currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at the Foundation for a Just Society, Prachi oversees an $11 million portfolio dedicated to advancing gender and racial justice. Previous roles include Program Officer for South and Southeast Asia, where grantmaking strategies supported the rights of women, girls, and LGBTQI individuals, and Program Director at the J. M. Kaplan Fund, where Prachi developed funding initiatives addressing criminal justice and immigration issues. Prachi has also held advisory positions with Fenomenal Funds and Grantmakers for Girls of Color and has served on various boards, including the CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities. Prachi’s educational background includes a Master's degree from New York University and a Bachelor's degree from Swarthmore College.
