Anthony Amboy

Director, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program at FOUNDATION FOR CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGES

Anthony Amboy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Anthony has worked as the Director of the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Student Achievement Program at the Foundation for California Community Colleges since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Specialist for the SEA Program and Guided Pathways at California Community Colleges from January 2021 to April 2023. Anthony also has experience as an Adjunct English Instructor at Chabot College, Los Medanos College, and Cogswell Polytechnical College. Anthony has worked as a Barista at The Coffee Shop in Concord, CA from May 2018 to March 2020. Additionally, they have experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Project Success Coach at the University of San Francisco. Furthermore, they have served as a Head Coach at Giants Baseball Camps, teaching children the fundamentals of baseball.

Anthony Amboy earned a Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) degree in Writing from the University of San Francisco from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English at the University of California, Riverside from 2012 to 2014. Anthony also obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Speech and Communication Studies from Ohlone College in 2015. Earlier, they completed two Associate of Arts (A.A.) degrees from Ohlone College from 2009 to 2012, with fields of study in Liberal Studies: Language Emphasis and Human Development.
