Steven Hoffmann is the AVP of Research Partnerships at the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health. Steven has over 17 years of experience in the biotech industry, with a focus on assay development and marketing.
Steven started their career as an Assay Development Scientist at Meso Scale Discovery, where they developed and implemented over 100 protein immunoassays. Steven then became a Project Manager for Personalized Med, Inflammation, Neurodegeneration, and Metabolics, before being promoted to Product Manager. In this role, they defined and developed marketing strategies and collateral to address customer needs and sales goals.
Under Steven's leadership, Meso Scale Discovery launched over 40 immunoassays, doubling annual revenue. Steven coordinated and led multiple cross-functional teams to monitor technical design, phase deliverables, quality control and assurance, project scope, costs, and timelines.
Steven has a thorough knowledge and experience in metabolic, neurodegeneration, immunology, biologics, inflammation, and toxicology pathogenic pathways and related biomarkers.
Steven Hoffmann has a MS in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BSc in Biochemistry and BioPhysics as well as a Chemistry Minor from the University of Pittsburgh.
