Erik Carlson

Erik Carlson, PhD, currently serves as Sr. Manager, Medical Science Liaison at Foundation Medicine, focusing on oncology diagnostics and precision medicine in the West Great Lakes region. Prior to this role, Erik was a NIH/NCI NRSA Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from May 2019 to February 2023. Erik completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmacology at the University of Minnesota, where involvement included work as a Graduate Research Associate studying tobacco-related carcinogens and serving as Seminar Coordinator for the Life Sciences Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Earlier academic experiences include roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where Erik focused on Alzheimer's disease research and supported undergraduate students in laboratory settings. Erik completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2013.
