Mark Kennedy

Mark Kennedy is a seasoned expert in computational biology with extensive experience in the biotechnology and genomics fields. Currently serving as Senior Principal / Director of Computational Biology at Foundation Medicine since 2014, Mark leads cross-functional teams in the development and improvement of next-generation sequencing (NGS) clinical oncology assays, leveraging expertise in cancer genomics, molecular biology, and software engineering. Prior roles include Bioinformatics and R&D Group Leader at Claritas Genomics, Bioinformatics Staff Scientist at Life Technologies, and Bioinformatics Analyst at 454 Life Sciences. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Master of Science, and a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego.
