William Matthews

Director Business Intelligence/datawarehouse at Foundation Partners Group

William Matthews has a diverse range of work experience spanning over multiple companies and positions. William currently holds the role of Director of Business Intelligence and Datawarehouse at Foundation Partners Group since December 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Warehouse Architect at Orange County Public Schools from July 2019 to December 2019.

From 2007 to 2018, William held the position of Senior Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Architect at Radixx International. In this role, they were responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining all company products and projects related to enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence. William also managed a team of three developers and provided strategic direction for business intelligence and data warehousing.

Before joining Radixx International, William worked at HSBC Mortgage Services as a Sr. Business Information Analyst from June 2005 to May 2007. During their tenure, they led multiple projects related to the design and implementation of enterprise data warehouse systems.

Prior to that, William served as a Senior Business Analyst at CHEP from June 2001 to November 2004. Here, they were responsible for budget management and cost reduction strategies.

At the beginning of their career, William worked at SunTrust in various roles, including Information Systems Manager and AVP from May 1997 to June 2001, and Fraud Investigator from August 1989 to May 1997. In these positions, they were involved in leading design and development activities for enterprise data warehouses and supporting various reporting aspects.

William Matthews obtained various certifications and completed education programs throughout their career. In 2006, they received a certificate in Object-Oriented Design from The George Washington University. During the same year, they also obtained a certificate in Cognos Metadata Modeling 1 & 2 from Cognos Professional Training.

Prior to that, in 2005, William attended Cognos Professional Training and earned a certificate in Report Studio 1 & 2. From 1996 to 2002, they pursued an Associates of Arts degree in Humanities and English from Valencia Community College.

Additionally, in 1999 and 2000, they obtained a certificate in SQL/PL-SQL from Oracle University. Throughout their career, William also obtained several certifications. In 2017, they acquired an Amateur Extra Class Radio License from the Federal Communications Commission. More recently, in 2020, they obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
