Carolyn Brown

Carolyn Brown has been involved in various roles in the education sector since 1987. Carolyn began their career as the Founder and President of Breakthrough, Inc. in 1987, and then moved on to become the VP of Development for Breakthrough to Literacy in 1994. In 2006, they Co-Founded and became President of the Iowa Language and Literacy Institute. Finally, in 2009, they Co-Founded and became Chief Academic Officer and President of Foundations in Learning, Inc.

Carolyn Brown completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Iowa between 1978 and 1981. Prior to that, they earned their Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Eastern New Mexico University between 1971 and 1976.
